Rooms

Oak Ridge Bed and Breakfast has four unique guest rooms, each with queen sized beds and their own bathroom. The Hobbit House allows a guest private accommodations.  The furnishings and decor of each guest room has been influenced by a favorite author.

Anne McCaffery Room

Also called the Dragon Room and full of the book’s vision.
A passion for a good book has influenced the décor of our guest rooms. This is the Anne McCaffery room, influenced by her series, The Dragonriders of Pern. And dragons, no matter where you find them, evoke visions of fire and opulence, treasure and adventure. This room is furnished with a wonderful four poster bed, silk quilts and a sample of the works of Anne McCaffery as well as other books about dragons.  Enjoy our collection of dragons and other fantasy items. You’ll find additional books by Anne McCaffery in the library.

Tony Hillerman Room

Love the Southwest and native peoples? If you haven’t read Tony Hillerman we will lend you one of his books from our library.
Our second guest room evokes the flavor of the American southwest, taking this theme primarily from the works of Tony Hillerman.  Enjoy the southwestern colors and the simple furnishings and artifacts collected during our travels. You will find examples of Hillerman’s work as well as other authors who embrace the desert as their playground.

Lillian Jackson Braun Room

A Room For The Cat Lover! Here Cats have found their special places.
Our third room celebrates those personable animals who think and communicate in their own style. First among these authors must be Lillian Jackson Braun and her “The Cat Who ….” Series. We have included pieces of a family collection of cats of all kinds, as well as examples of the Braun books and those from Rousseau and Rita Brown.

The Hobbit House

The Hobbit House is a cozy, cedar lined retreat high in the trees.
Located outside of the main house, it is the favorite room for our brides and grooms.  With greater floor space than other rooms, there is room for a family as well. A queen sized bed, a day bed and a trundle, this room easily sleeps a family of four.  It is also our only space for guests who travel with pets.
